Codabar
Codabar was designed to be accurately read even when printed using low quality printers. It is a barcode symbol that is typically used in libraries and multi-part forms.
Code128
Code128 is a very high density barcode symbol. Main uses tend to be in the packaging and shipping industries. An alphanumeric symbol with the extended capability of encoding numeric data with very high compression ratios. Code128 barcodes use three distinct start characters A, B and C depending on the data to be represented. Typically the choice of start character when creating Code128 barcodes is left to the user. However, Easy Barcoder has built in logic enabling it to produce optimised barcodes with automatic start/switch characters.
Code39
Also known as Code 3 of 9. This is a full alphanumeric symbol. Main disadvantage of this symbol is it’s inability to compress data. This symbol has been around for a very long time and most barcode readers can decode it.
Code93
Initially designed as an improved version of Code93. This symbol has higher density and improved error correction capabilities and is able to Encode full ASCII with upper and lowercase characters.
EAN 8 and 13
EAN stands for European Article Number. This is a very widely used symbol for general products. EAN 8 was specifically created for printing symbols on small items such as cigarette packets. It is one of the most widely used barcode symbols today, and is a purely Numeric format.
Easy Barcoder has built-in intelligence with regards to this format. If EAN 8 is selected and input data is less than 8 digits, Easy Barcoder will pad input data and generate the relevant symbol. However, if more than 8 digits are found, Easy Barcoder will truncate input to the required Size. This also applies to EAN 13 barcode types. The user has control over whether a check digit is appended. If the Calculate Check Digit option is checked, than Easy Barcoder will produce the required check digit, else it will assume that the check digit has already been calculated and will adjust the resultant symbol accordingly.

This a purely numeric symbol used mainly in the packaging industry, with excellent compression and error correction properties.
Easy Barcoder allows full control over most aspects of barcode creation. There is independent control over the size of both the barcode symbol and the Human Readable text. There are also 3 settings for barcode density, thus allowing reasonable calibration to ensure maximum efficiency and barcode reader accuracy.
Easy Barcoder installs all the necessary fonts, which are removed on uninstall.
